Sebastian Kole, better known on stage as Pynk Beard, walked onto the *America’s Got Talent* stage as an Alabama singer-songwriter with a five-piece band and an original country song. By the time he finished, he had the entire room on its feet — and even Simon Cowell smiling.
The Birmingham native performed “Mine, Lord Willing,” a heartfelt country track he wrote himself. The energy was strong, the band was tight, and the delivery felt real. The audience rose first. Then all four judges — Cowell, Mel B, Howie Mandel, and Sofia Vergara — stood up and joined the ovation.
### “I Think That’s a Hit Song”
Simon Cowell’s reaction stood out the most.
“That was really, really fantastic,” he said. “I think that’s a hit song. Such an amazing feeling when everything goes right. The performance, the band, the song, everything. I just love you.”
He went even further, adding that if he still had a Golden Buzzer, he would have used it right then. After Pynk Beard left the stage, Cowell doubled down: “Pynk Beard might be my favorite today.”

Mel B admitted the performance made her fall in love with country music, even though it’s not usually her genre. Sofia Vergara called it “a perfect audition,” praising his voice, original material, and stage presence. Howie Mandel predicted the song could have a life well beyond the competition.

### The Songwriter Behind the Stage Name
Before stepping into the spotlight as Pynk Beard, Sebastian Kole built a successful career behind the scenes. He has contributed to six Grammy-winning and Grammy-nominated projects, including Alessia Cara’s No. 1 hits “Scars to Your Beautiful” and “Here.” His writing credits also include songs recorded by Alicia Keys, John Legend, Halle Bailey, and Jennifer Lopez.
Country music, however, has always been part of his story. He credits his great-grandfather with introducing him to artists like Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash, and Hank Williams when he was young. That foundation stayed with him even as he worked in other genres.
In an earlier interview, Kole noted that songwriting, recording, and performing each require different skills. “I’ve had my most success as a songwriter,” he said. “I’m starting to have a really, really good time as a recording artist and a performing artist.”

It’s not every day that an original country song earns this level of unanimous praise on *America’s Got Talent* — especially from Simon Cowell. Pynk Beard’s audition managed to do exactly that. Strong song, solid band, authentic delivery, and a room full of people on their feet.
