This Heartwarming Family Band Turned the Stage Into a Heartwarming Musical Moment
There is something special about seeing a Heartwarming family step onto a talent-show stage together. In 2009, the Good Evans family did exactly that when they appeared on Britainās Got Talent and performed the Jackson 5 classic āIāll Be There.ā š¤ā¤ļø
The official Britainās Got Talent YouTube channel identifies Good Evans as a family group and describes them as a group who came to the show to impress the judges. The video is from the third series of the British talent show.
A Heartwarming Family Takes the BGT Stage
Good Evans was made up of parents Estelle and Giles Evans and their children Elliot, Georgia and Olivia. The Heartwarming family came from Coventry in the West Midlands and auditioned together for the show.
Rather than appearing as a traditional solo singer or professional band, Good Evans brought something much more personal to the stage: a family performance.
Their choice was āIāll Be There,ā the famous song associated with the Jackson 5.

As the family began their performance, the spotlight naturally moved between the different members.
One of the most noticeable performers was young Elliot Evans. Contemporary coverage of the group frequently singled out Elliotās singing, while the younger girls also became part of the familyās performance.
The official BGT description even compared the family concept to famous singing families such as the Von Trapps and the Jackson family.
That comparison helped underline what made Good Evans different from many of the other acts auditioning that year.
The Family Dynamic
The appeal of Good Evans was not simply about having several people singing together.
They were a real family sharing the stage.
That created a different kind of atmosphere from the typical solo audition. Parents and children were performing together, supporting one another while facing the judges and the live audience.
The group eventually advanced through the competition and reached the semi-finals of Series 3.
Elliot Evans Stood Out
Although the group performed together, Elliot Evans attracted particular attention for his voice.
Contemporary discussions of the audition highlighted his singing, and later coverage documented his continued musical activity following the show. Elliot later recorded āIāll Be Thereā as part of the Voice in a Million project, with the release supporting National Adoption Week.
That later project gave the song an additional connection to his time on Britainās Got Talent.
A Memorable BGT Family Performance
Good Evans became part of a memorable group of acts from Britainās Got Talent Series 3.
Their audition was different from many of the show’s more dramatic performances because the central idea was simple: a family coming together to sing.
The combination of the parents, the children and a well-known Jackson 5 song gave the performance an unmistakable family-show feel.
